We are looking for a Customer Service Specialist to be the first point of contact for telephone, online chat, social media messaging, and email inquiries. This is a mid-level position ideally suited to a professional with a design background and familiarity with the brands we carry. As the Customer Service Specialist, you will report to the Online Sales Manager.
Required Skills, Abilities and Experience:
Minimum three years sales and customer service experience.
PC-centred, with strong document and spreadsheet skills using Microsoft 365 and OneDrive. Experience with NetSuite and/or Magento Commerce 2 is an asset.
Proficient with professional business language and writing skills.
Strong email management skills and attention to detail.
Well organized, flexible, eager, supportive, and able to balance priorities.
Self-motivated and interested in keeping up on the latest trends in the industry.
Interested in contributing to positive team atmosphere.
Example of Responsibilities:
Filter, categorize, and prioritize high volume email inbox.
Be able to suggest and promote alternate or complementary products and have a passion for the stories and designers behind these products.
Assist customers in navigating the website.
Answer varied and detailed product questions from new and existing customers.
Provide information to customers about their existing orders ie. lead times, shipping updates, backordered and discontinued item notifications.
Reply to customers using different channels of communication within company-defined time response goals and provide an exemplary, memorable shopping experience.
Regular liaison with our sales, purchasing, and logistics teams.
Using available sales tools ie. Marketing Calendar, Inventory Reports, Lead Time sheets to upsell, cross-sell, and engage with new and existing customers.
This is an in-person role at our head office within our Victoria showroom. There is potential for a hybrid work arrangement after a positive performance review.
